Blake, William cultural definition

An English author and artist of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Blake was an early leader of romanticism. He is best known for his collections of poems Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience. Blake illustrated, printed, and distributed all of his books himself.
