Heisenberg, Werner cultural definition
A German physicist of the twentieth century. Heisenberg was one of the founders of quantum mechanics, the discoverer of the uncertainty principle, and a leader of Germany's attempt to construct an atomic bomb (see also atomic bomb) in World War II.
