Mondrian, Piet cultural definition

A Dutch-born twentieth-century artist known for his geometric paintings characterized by perpendicular lines and planes of pure primary colors. Influenced by cubism, Mondrian created a style called “neoplasticism,” which he used in works such as Composition with Red, Yellow, and Blue and Broadway Boogie Woogie.
